The Night World Fascinating book that moves from the pitch darkness of night to the first rays of dawn light. Great read for kids who wonder what it’s like at night, and good to dispel fears of the dark as well.

11 Birthdays 1st in a fantastic series about kids growing up, friends in community, and magic. Yup, real magic. Funny and real and just a delight. You’re welcome.
The Street Beneath My Feet A big crazy fold up book all about geology, archeaology, urban planning, biology and history. Literally, what’s beneath our feet. Boys love this book.
The Higher Power of Lucky A transformative short chapter book about a child and adult raising each other in the desert. Just magical, and funny.
The Whisper Lyrical illustrations by a favorite artist show a girl and her book that is without words, until the wind shows her how to create her own stories from the pictures.
