When We Were Lost A plane crash in the jungle with animals, reptiles, insects and heat set the stage for this survival story. A realistic adventure that was a fast and compelling read.
You Bring the Distant Near A story that spans three generations with a little romance and humor. I loved how connected the generations were as each character struggled to balance the responsibility they felt to their family with the desire to find their own path, it was so authentic.
With the Fire on High Rather than a story that ends when a young women gets pregnant this story begins with that and tells the inspiring story of a young women, working with her family and friends, to follow her dreams. A very inspiring story.
The Wild Robot This story was fast paced and filled with adventure. It makes a great read aloud, and our kids didn’t want the reading to stop.
