Rain! I love the joy this little boy brings with his boots and raincoat that infects those around him.
The Phone Booth in Mr. Hirota’s Garden This book, inspired by a true story, is filled with emotions. It was so sad, but I loved it.
Grumpy Monkey Jim Panzee is having a tough day and he is grumpy (even if he doesn’t think he is). Having a friend who hangs in there with him and helps him see that he will probably feel better soon is such a good reminder of how we can be a good friend.
This is MY Fort! I laugh out loud at Monkey and Cake as they grapple with real life issues.
The Three Billy Goats Buenos This picture book has been a fun addition to our bilingual storytime. It has a glossary of Spanish words used with pronunciation that helps me feel confident reading this silly version outloud.
My Two Blankets I love this beautiful story and was so inspired by a little girl willing to see someone who didn’t fit and reach out, not letting the language barrier stop her from making a stranger feel welcome.
Rain Before Rainbows The pictures are so beautiful and the message is one I need to be reminded of often.
Book of a Thousand Days I loved this fairytale retelling told through a series of diary entries. It left me with quotes that I will be thinking about for a long time.
The Magical Yet I love this rhyming book that reminds of that the world is full of things we can’t do…yet.
