RITA Awards Announced Print
Romance Writers of America logo - a drawing of an open book next to their name - gold print on a royal red backgroundThe RITA Award, presented by the Romance Writers of America (RWA), is the most prominent award given for the romance genre.  Named for the RWA's first president, Rita Clay Estrada, it signifies excellence in one of 13 categories of romantic fiction.  This year's awards were announced recently at the organization's annual conference.  Visit the library catalog to see this year's winners!  Interestingly, until 2012, RITA Award nominees were limited to books in print.  This year’s event, however, provided a first - two RITAs were awarded to eBook titles.
