|Library Elf - Get reminders when it's due!|
Keeping track and returning all your library materials on time can be a challenge, especially if you have children or use multiple libraries. Library Elf is a web-based tool that can help.Library Elf will keep track of multiple library accounts, tell you what’s due, overdue, and ready for pickup. Notices are available through email, as texts on your cell phone, or both. And you can customize the frequency of your reminders.
Busy families with several library cards can register all the library cards on one Library Elf account for an easy overview of all upcoming due dates. And people who use multiple libraries can register all their cards for easy tracking. No more having to sign into several accounts to look up due dates.
If it sounds like Elf is for you, just go to www.libraryelf.org for a free account. The Whatcom County Library System has subscribed to Library Elf giving you free access to the Premium Service. Simply enter Whatcom County Library System as your home library in the registration form when you register. The registration process is very intuitive and you’ll have a chance to choose whether you want to receive text messages on a cell phone in addition to emails. You’ll choose how many days in advance of a due date you want to receive your message, and how often you want to be reminded of overdues and hold. Elf offers 5 delivery methods: email, RSS, ICal, HTML, and Text Message Alerts. Simply make your selections and you are all set.
